“But now your kingdom will not endure; the Lord has sought out a man after His own heart and appointed him leader of his people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command” (I Samuel 13:13-14).
Ouch! What strong words from Samuel concerning the future of King Saul. Saul would not only lose the kingdom but God had already found a replacement. There was a new king appointed and the Lord made clear “this man has a heart after mine.” It is safe to say that the hand of God moved from King Saul and went to the one the Lord had appointed. This man we later find out is David.

In Ezekiel Chapter 48, the prophet records a time of great blessing for the people of God. Jerusalem would be restored and the city rebuilt but even more- the city would be given a new name Jehovah Shama- The LORD is There. The Lord would be connected to the city and all who would enter into the city gates would know that the Lord’s presence resided in Jerusalem. Praise and worship filled the city when this good news arrived.
